I began work on the production design of Petrichor Stories in February of 2018. Petrichor Stories's preproduction needed to be incredibly thorough to accommodate the director's preference of a "fluid film" - that is a production that encourages improvisation to catch real, spontaneous moments on sets. To prepare for a "fluid film" as a production designer, I realized I needed to assemble a collection of props that could be used any where production takes us while still relating to the core themes of the film.
In order to communicate with the rest of the production I created a lookbook highlighting how the production design would interact with the rest of the film.
A comic I made to communicate the idea of a Fluxus Box which informed much of the imagery found in the production design.
I also utilized my skills in illustration and graphic design to create posters and vinyl stickers that were used to decorate the background of the film and for fundraising.
