A Portrait of My Family Through the Lens of My Father’s Art
Technosapiens is portrait of my family through the lens of looking through the artwork of my deceased father Barry Kornfeld.
My father's life was complicated and he made the people's lives who surrounded him complicated - especially his family members'. It's been a few years since he's died which has granted me enough time to really start reflecting on my father's life.
Like me, he was an artist. In the 80s he started working on his only major photography project called 'Technosapiens' which explores how we see humanity in an age on the down of digital. Though often taken as hyperbole, he predicted quite a few developments including our society's integration of technology into our day to day lives as demonstrated in his artwork.
